We also provide career coaching for younger people making an original choice, using the SHL Career Pathfinder.

The Career Pathfinder has been designed to be contemporary, in the relevance of the information that it provides, and to be simple to use and to interpret. The career pathfinder series offers two products:

Career Pathfinder - In-depth has been designed to give a rounded assessment against six vocational areas and thirty specific occupations, linked to the competencies required for success in a chosen career field.

Career Pathfinder - Quickscan has been designed to give a rounded assessment against six vocational areas and thirty specific occupations, linked to the competencies required for success in a chosen career field.

The six broad vocational interests being featured by the Career Pathfinder include:

  • Realistic: an interest in practical, hands-on tasks;
  • Investigative: an interest in analytical and problem solving tasks;
  • Artistic: an interest in creative tasks;
  • Social: an interest in people orientated tasks such as supporting or counselling others;
  • Enterprising: an interest in leading and persuading others to commit to projects;
  • Conventional: an interest in administrative and monitoring tasks.
